Hello all. Any thoughts on resorts with good walking/snowshoeing trails? My wife and doesn't want to ski every day, but still wants to be in the mountains. We're hoping to go late March.

Mrs Dee and myself are keen walkers and like to combine other activities on our skiing holidays
FWIW below are some of the resorts we have visited that meet some of these requirements, I am sure that there are many others
Seefeld, Austria, over 100kms of cleared winter walking paths / snowshoe trails and approx 120kms of x-country ski tracks but limited downhill. Tourist office runs guided snowshoe walks and can help organise x-country lessons
St Moritz, Switzerland, lots of cleared paths, snowshoeing and x-country (Engadine Valley) all linked by efficient bus services. Also the Cresta bobsleigh run if that takes your fancy and horse racing on the frozen lake
Stubai Valley, Austria, approx 80kms of cleared paths, snowshoeing trails, good x-country skiing and 4 different downhill resorts including glacier skiing (Stubai glacier) all easily accessible by car or valley bus links
Dolomites (Alta Badia) most resorts have cleared walking paths, some have x-country, many snowshoeing opportunities and of course endless downhill in fantastic scenery

Seiser Alm in the Dolomites. Lots of walking trails within the main ski area allowing you to meet up at some (not all) of the mountain huts.
Beware of Corvara and Alta Badia as suggestions. There's hardly any walking trails in the main ski area. The majority are at resort/valley level.
