Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Skis and Boots - EasyJet

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I added 4 x skis and boots for our upcoming EasyJet flight approaching two years when we booked…. Due to rescheduling and cancellations only going to be taking them up in just over 3 weeks time.

I got it in my head this allowed us to take boots and ski in separate bags for each “skis and boot” item? However reading their pages I can’t see that explicitly stated?

can anybody confirm?

We've always taken separate ski and boot bags, never been a problem as long as combined weight of said bags not more 23kg

@trmacc, thanks! This is our first time with EasyJet (plus they have changed their rules since we booked which is adding to my levels of panic Smile)

@NickyJ, this was a while ago but I recall taking separate ski and boot bags when buying the sporting baggage allowance. I did check and confirm on their chat and you can get that emailed to you to print and wave at any check in staff. The ones at Geneva knew about it no problem but be careful you pick the right option at the self-bag check if doing those as you need two bag tickets but there seemed to be two choices (“skis” or “skis and boots” I seem to recall, only the latter printed two bag check tickets).

@ster, thank you for the heads up!

More confusingly I have two pairs of skis in each double ski bag so only 2 ski bags will actually go into the hold but likely 4 boots….

I had been contemplating “chancing it” when I first booked but changed when they ran the bags for 99p offer so added the additional two skis to be fully correct.

@NickyJ, you’re a very honest customer!

I just throw in as many skis into the one bag that the weight allowance will take.

@NickyJ, we usually pay for 2sets of ski equipment and manage to get 4 pair of skis into 2 ski bags and 3 pairs of boots spread over 2 bags whilst taking the smallest pair of boots in hand luggage. As long as you aren't over the weight, my experience is they don't care how many skis are actually in the bags. At the self check in in Edinburgh, you don't even select what type of bag you have, as long as the weight doesn't go over what you paid for you can have whatever combo of ski bags/suitcases etc.
