Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Boots tight over bridge

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
tried my boots on last night, first time in 2 years. They seem to be tighter over the bridge & in fact harder to get on than I remember. This could be down to the fact they have been sitting under a bed fully fastened tight for the past two years.
Anyone else had this? Do you think they will loosen off with use? I don't ant to spoil my weekend away spending time trying to fix ill fitting boots.

Your feet haven't been in boots for 2 years. They will take some time to get used to being squeezed etc. I always find I need a couple of sessions in a snowdome, or a gentle half day initially for the feet to be used to things.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Jonny996, Have you changed much physically in the last 2 years? What time of day was it (your feet are quite different in size at different times)?

Likely they are just a but stiff from being fastened for so long and may also have been cold. I would get them nice and warm, and try them on in the morning. Feet are at their largest at the end of the day. Wear them for a wee while and you will probably find they adapt to their original fit.

This is it I think - they'll ease up.
As it happens I don't think there is any need to clip boots up tight for storage - just close the buckles lightly.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

That worked a treat, tried them on in the morning & much better. I am sure after 2 years of slipper wearing & 10Kg gain my feet would have changed slightly.
