Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Flying into Geneva late Jan/early Feb - plenty of options or not?

Wondering about a long weekend, not many flights from around Leeds, but can get into GVA for reasonable prices.
What do you folk think the chances of not being able to land/travel in a few weeks time? From what I can see I can currently travel and ski in Switzerland, also Italy, but France is currently the issue.
Even if France doesn't change its rules Switzerland is going to be ok provided I follow the in and outbound procedures and I should be able to ski the morning after an evening flight right?
Anything obvious I've missed?
Cheers,
greg

@kitenski
, I agree, likely to be OK at least for Switzerland, and hopefully France too. No guarantees!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@kitenski, Mrs F is treating our teenager to a long weekend in Verbier from Thursday (flying into GVA) and we have switched our La Tania February HT stay to Grindelwald.
Where we are now (and things will change), Switzerland is by far the obvious choice as long as you're fully vaccinated / boosted. I suspect that Macron may relax rules for Brits this week BUT I'm not sure we will be offered a carte blanche invitation to enter - there will be requirements for PCR tests etc.
Bear in mind that you can change an easyJet flight to a different destination without an admin charge up to 2 hours before departure ...

I very much doubt they’ll require PCR tests - they already have a system in place for places with high cases and a “variant of concern” - their red list. Which (for vaccinated people) is a lateral flow test 48hrs before travel and a signed attestation.
