Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Due to travel to Austria 22.01 with Crystal, just coming to end of isolation, but still showing positive on laterals.
Concern is the pre flight PCR I read somewhere can still test positive for 90 days post recovery - if that comes back positive even though recovered I assume it is no fly and money lost. can't see insurance will cover that.
Before I try and swap has anyone else been in this position found out more information? Can't find anything in Crystal t& c, can't phone insurer until Tuesday
thanks in advance

@afcbtim
, by my reading this scenario is covered by Crystal's Travel With Confidence terms:
https://www.crystalski.co.uk/travel-with-confidence
If your pre travel PCR is positive, I believe that would be reported to Test & Trace and you would need to self isolate. Cancellation due to inability to travel having tested positive or being obliged to self isolate is covered by my insurance. However, I suspect my insurance would ask me initially to talk to Crystal. You'd have to read your insurance to see what it covers.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There's a thread on Austrian requirements:

It looks like you need this form:

Although there's some doubt whether it gets you in with or without 5 days of quarantine arrival. I saw a link earlier which says without, I'll see if I can find it.

There is no doubt, at the moment you need a PCR to travel at this moment in time or you must quarantine, they will not let people in as tourists unless they have their own property as you can't quarantine.
Direct from Austrian government
Quote:
https://www.oesterreich.gv.at/en/themen/coronavirus_in_oesterreich/pre-travel-clearance.html
The obligation to bring a negative result of a molecular test with you or a medical certificate confirming such a test does not apply to persons who have recovered from COVID-19 and can present a medical certificate in accordance with Appendix H or Appendix I. The obligation to self-isolate, however, remains.
Can we please keep to the thread highlighted earlier where many locals including people in the industry are answering these same questions repeatedly.
@Tom Doc
, there is no 5 days of quarantine it is 10 days with the possibility of testing out with a negative PCR test carried out on day 5 so at least 6 days before you get the result which probably means you can ski on the 7th. If you would fail a pre travel PCR you will likely fail the day 5 one anyway.
