Poster: A snowHead

As there are requirements for face coverings on lift in the resorts I'm skiing and after faffing around with blue masks for a while I bought and tried one of these -
https://www.buff.com/cy/filter-mask-buff-solid.html
A little expensive, but come with 5 disposable filters.
It fits well and is comfortable to wear all day. No issues with rubbing under a helmet or around the ears.
Some slight misting of goggles, but cleared as so as I started moving.
Definitely, recommended if you find elastic around your ears all day uncomfortable, but down side is you can probably buy several 100 blue masks for the price.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I bought a colourful version of this and a pack of filters. I didn't like the idea of plastic fittings around my skull so I stitched the straps in place and cut the plastic away. I couldn't keep the top strap on my head so both of them were lower which seemed to help with the fit anyway.
I did use it for a couple of days but as I was pulling it down then up repeatedly during the day, the filter soon crumpled inside it rendering it pointless. In the end I just used a normal buff which, as long as it covered mouth and nose, was quite acceptable in France.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@motyl, I binned mine after a few days skiing, same issue with filters and the plastic bits were awful under a helmet, they aren't fit for purpose for skiing.

From observation in Ischgl, where fp2 compliant buffs are required once on the mountain. .. any buff will do. Once in probably 6 days where we challenged for not covering face on a mountain lift.
Conversely at bar stations checks for fp2 masks are thorough.
