Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Travelling abroad after testing positive

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi I apologise now for the long post but really confused. My daughter tested positive following a private fit to fly test on the 22 October 2021. This positive case is registered and showing on NHS track and trace butt the NHS app and the Drs have now records of her positive test. After many hours on the phone trying to get her a covid travel pass we have been told that if the test was private it does not meet the required level to show on the NHS app ? So we cannot get the paperwork to enable her to travel?
Anybody else had this or know if it is correct. We are due to travel at the end of January but she has yet only had one Jab so need the letter to show she had covid within the last 180 days many thanks

There is no official letter for under 16's UK kids to show they have recovered from covid. Only 2 jabs evidence for 12-15 year olds. Had the same issue as you - mine had covid on the 19th October but produced negative PCR tests on the 17th December... you can take all the evidence you have - the private PCR test should have a QR code on it?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If they test positive they get a 180 exemption certificate which means they do not have to be double jabbed and don’t have to take any entry tests so can travel without need for any tests etc
