Poster: A snowHead
|
Looking at the La Plagne Webcams this morning, the place looks so quiet. I would have thought the place would be busier given the snow conditions.
We cancelled our trip but it's so tempting, even though I'm in the vulnerable category (I.m double jabbed and booster) and taking a single jabbed teen.
Listening to Boris last night I thought....."Ok, I'll stay at home, work from home, do all the good things", but I also feel with a sensible hygeine/testing regime we'd present very little risk.
I hope those that have gone and are going manage to have a well deserved holiday.
Blue skies, cool beers and powder everyone
Sounds like a advert for a Crack Den

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, it's super early season - resorts are quiet at this time of year, even in a typical year. Many don't open fully - or at all - at this time of year.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The reports from Steve Angus in Val d'Isere are a little different with the resort being overrun by British University Students. However, in general the week before Christmas is very quiet and the resorts are rarely fully open.

Looks amazing. La Plagne was my first ever ski holiday and I can remember all those bumps and mini-valleys everywhere that were ace fun to explore. I must go back one day, been a long time since those early trips
