Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking for some advice . I have a 9 yr old pair of Head S11 boots. stiffness 100. They came with two grey plastic inserts about the size of the palm of your hand that I think can be added to the shell to increase the stiffness to 110 (and comes with screws). I cannot for the life of me see how they get added (presumably in front of the tongue). I have looked online and can find nothing. Could try and post a pic later when I get home. To clarify , I am happy with current boot stiffness but am curious to try adding them to see if there is a difference

yes, 72kg/170cm. This plate I believe stiffens the boot, I just cant see how or where it is added to increase the stiffness. I had the boots fitted properly when I got them, but have become a much better skier since then. The boots fit me well and are in v good condition. I guess the easiest thing will be to take the boot back to where I got them fitted and ask them about it

The plate is not the Custom System that allows you to stiffen the boot. The Custom System is a liner that is added to the sole of the boot.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
