Anyone has any recommendations on helmet that has built in PTT walke talkie? (Preferably tested). Even better if its wireless and connects through app. Thanks in advance!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

No response probably because no one uses one for skiing or boarding. Try posting on a quad biking or snowmobile forum.

@Idb1213, Outdoor Tech(?) Audio Chips will do that, I think. Not built in, but they fit inside the ear flaps most helmets have. Can't say I've tested the walkie talkie thing though, beyond a quick trial a few years ago when I got them (more faff than use, and as @PowderAdict says, not really useful when skiing already IMO).

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

A good idea in principle, but I could see it being really annoying for others, especially in lift queues, or cable cars. Also open to abuse from others with evil intent, who can saying anything to your group by tapping the device

This - Using high power units in Europe is still illegal, Mesh wireless helps but you're still talking about node limits of around 100m if you have LoS. Traditional radios end up either channel swamped with other people, or out of range so quickly that they're neither use nor ornament.

thought it could be useful to talk to your group with a PTT device in your ear. But then again it has to have quite a long range..
