Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone skied both? Really like the shape and flex of the 105. Is the 115 just a wider version or are the flex characteristics very different?

Cheers!

@Arno, it's been a while, but a few years back I did demo them back to back. Pretty sure the 115 is just a scaled up version; it definitely still felt pretty stiff (especially in the tail).

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@clarky999, pretty stiff is good (cos I’m not exactly a lightweight)

An absolute plank is bad because I’m lazy Cool

Skied the 189 a few seasons back and it was way too much ski for me. Threw me all over the place

Yeah, the tails kicked my ass too. I don't think it was stiffer than the 105 though, so if that worked for you the 115 should be fine too... They're not complete planks - Heitz had to get an extra-stiff pair made up for La Liste. My biggest takeaway was that personally I would have liked (/needed) more tail rocker rather than necessarily much softer.

@Arno, I have the 115: it's rad. Yes it's stiff but pretty well damped and it's by no means an iron girder of a ski to handle. Tim has the 105s and I've given them a go for a day or so. They felt quite different to the 115 but I was running them on shifts rather than tectons on the 115 (definitely not the wrong way round...).

...I'd say the 115s have stiffer tails than the 105 but my memory is hazy as this was back in pre-Covid times.
