Am we right in thinking that even though I am double jabbed I have to have a fit to fly test to get on a plane?
Cheers

No. It depends on the countries entry requirements at the time. Go on gov.uk for the entry requirements for the country you are visiting

Better check here as well for Swiss requirements from horses mouth, there might be a few days to get the Swiss covid passport if you haven’t already for entry to certain places in Switzerland.

@ajc2260626, .I've been looking for similar info. Heading to Portugal soon where there's no requirement for anyone fully vaccinated to have a pre-travel test. However the airline's info seems to be out of date and still appears to require a "fit to fly" test.

Flew easy jet - Edinburgh to Geneva last week, picked up car and drove to France - no test required for any of us ( adults double jabbed , teen single) - asked for Swiss PLF and vax certs - I had paper copies. Strict on hand baggage though - got nabbed for 36 Swiss Francs on return. Also on return allow extra time - Geneva airport was very busy and EJ checkin incredibly slow - held up by folk without correct docs. We arrived 2 hrs prior but almost missed our flight.

Flew back from uk to Portugal in August. Their website said proof not necessary but when we arrived at airport it was and they refused to listen to us or another family who had seen the same. If you opt against, arrive EARLY so you can sprint to the testing centre in the airport and get one before flight leaves. Very unpleasant experience.

Flew both ways between UK and Portugal last week - no tests needed for adults, and no problem travelling without.

I flew to France from UK on Sunday, and then back this morning, both flights on EasyJet.
On the way out, someone came up to us at the gate demanding to see our "Sworn Statement". This was news to us, but it was just a form that we downloaded from the French government website, to regularise a statement to the effect that I don't have Covid our associated symptoms.
On the way back, again at the gate, we needed to show evidence of having filled in a Passenger Locator Form. NB, the (French) EJ staff were not to interested in the details of what we had written in the form. Nobody wanted to see the PLF when we arrived on the UK.
No tests needed.
One family who were ahead of us in the queue this morning seemed to be arguing with the EJ staff at the gate, concerning the vaccination / recent test status of their teenage daughter. EJ insisting on either vaccination or recent test to be certified. We didn't hear the resolution of this, but the family were there at the UK end of the flight, so they must have prevailed!
