Poster: A snowHead
|
This morning ~6:30 on BBC 1 there was a 30 minute piece/story all about covid and how it was handled in the tyrol region. A really interesting watch, especially as we were in st. Anton the week before it all got shut down. We really were close to getting no holiday.
In hindsight its very easy to say it was obvious but this is something that many people will have never experienced in their lifetime.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

It was a good watch, tragic though for all the people that suffered, directly and indirectly because of the delay in locking down and the way it was implemented, ie bus-loads of people stuck together for hours........
To be fair it was very early days in the cognisance of the virus, but our faith at that time was in the hands of the "experts"

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Also showing again on BBC News channel at 9.30 p.m. this evening, or available via catch-up on Sky and, presumably, others.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Alastair Pink, thank you for the link. That made interesting watching and flipping back through our calendars to see what we were doing on various dates and then all the cancellations that we made late February/early March.

Just watched it on iplayer, and it is pretty damning, particularly for the town councils early reaction to deflect attention from the resort, and then the national government's 1-hour notification on lockdown.
