Hey there,
Has anyone bought a decommissioned chairlift or gondola for their garden or elsewhere?
What do you do with it and
would you mind sharing a picture?
It would be nice to have some inspiration and something pleasant (non-virus related) to look at. Thank you!

I've got a single chair off the old Tiger chairlift I won in a competition which is under a tarp behind my summerhouse. When we rebuild it next year it's being put up as a seat

I've got an old gondola cabin at my place in France. The plan was to hang it from the balcony as a, oversize, garden seat. Never got round to that so it's used to store kindling!
I managed to get it free when they were decommissioning a lift in La Foux. A lot were just trashed - after they'd taken them off the wire and lined them up at the bottom of the hill, they shoved them around with an earth mover?!
Plus a couple of old, wooden, chairlift seats as outdoor seating.

A chap I used to work with has a bubble in his garden. His kids used it as a play house.

Funnily enough I’ve just bought a 4 seater chair but haven’t installed it yet. The local hill is selling off old ones to staff, kids work there.
Going to put it in a nice beer drinking spot in the garden with some lights.
It has legs welded to it and weighs 200kg so will be interesting getting it in a trailer and down the mountain.
Paid about 400 bux for it.

I found this one in a cafe in Cambridge, at the bottom of the Fens Mountains.

Reminded me that McLeans (I think) in Edinburgh now has 6 bubbles from Courcheval in their beer garden, drove past it last night.

@Mr.Egg,
Not bad for home office these days
@fly2much,
Interesting! Looks like they were also testing out some snow cannons. When googeling this I also came across another guy at Lake Tahoe. So all I need is a hill, and an old chairlift. And maybe some snow and money

@orange, sounds good!
@benwright, Nice plan! Can you actually hang them, are they not too heavy for a balcony?
@russ_e, lucky kids!
@Whitegold, That‘s a fancy one!
