Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val Cenis Resort Report Feedback Thread

This is a feedback thread for agavin's resort report:

Val Cenis (January 2006)

Feel free to add, comment, or write your own report.

Val Cenis was the second place I ever went ski-ing, and I remember being catapulted up the hill by the draglift agavin mentions...

ValCenis has been expanded by linking with chair lifts to the small Termignan ski area, further down the valley. There are 4 other ski areas in the valley which can easily be skied if you have transport (I think there are buses but I don't know how often). The largest are La Norma and Val Frejus, but also Bonneval at the top of the valley (that people ski over the back of Val d'sere to, and helicopter back). There is a good value lift pass for the whole valley. This is brilliant for off-piste with a guide as there is lots of off piste, much of it quite challenging, and not very much skied (though more than when I first went decades ago).

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Loved all of the areas mentioned by snowball when we skied there 3 or 4 years ago.

An undiscovered gem of a valley, with prices much lower for everything than the French mega-resorts.

That's gotta be a record - a near 15 year bump!
