Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

And the best new ski development in 2005/6 award goes to ...

Intrawest and Arc 1950's "Hameau Du Glacier", according to Home Overseas magazine.

Their annual property awards ceremony took place in the London Dorchester on May 4th, with the Arc 1950 village pipping shortlisted rivals in Humber Valley Canada, as well as another Les Arcs development, MGM's Orée des Cîmes in Vallandry, to the title and gold award for "Best Ski Development".

Not everyone's tasse de thé perhaps, but I've heard few negative comments from owners and visitors since construction began... other than concerns over prices around the 'village'!

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Reminds me too much of Whistler, artificial and expensive. !! I'm sure it's very nice though.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I went there, as you know, heading up a reasonably large group last season. To a man/woman/child they all loved it and want me to take them back again next year.

The main complaint - mine only I must confess - was the village price of everything from equipment hire to beer.

Luigis restaurant in 1950 was nice. Good food, reasonable prices. Live music at night advertised too.

I would much prefer to stay in an older, lower village though.

There were only two bars in Peisey, one of them managed by a Frenchman who seemed to be on drugs every night -but the place had bags of character.
