I suspect all the lift manufacturers will struggle for new lift sales for a couple of years now and maintenance/repair demands might not be as high as normal either.

Might end up being a turning point for the ski lift market as it confronts both a drop in short term demand because of COVID and the longer term implications of climate change and demographic/social change ?
Second hand ski lifts and refurbishment might become more popular however.

My friends and I keep talking about turning up in full ski gear/with skis...to take a trip on the Emirates Air Line in London (another Doppelmayr install - but I don't hold Boris' vanity project against them).

190/ 3400 jobs being lost is very sad for those affected (and their families) on a human level. A 5% reduction in the workforce, however, hardly warrants the apocalyptic tone of the OP.

In fairness, the OP wasn't about the job losses. It was highlighting an impressive lift built in Vietnam. The post about the job losses quite a way down the page, and has been posted without any apocalyptic tone that I can detect.
