Which helmet should I wear and what base layer is best when driving a car with 2 winter and 2 summer tyres and chains on the front and back via Bourg-en-Bresse or the Jura avoiding the use a vignette in CH while dropping off someone who has hired a car from the French vs Swiss side of GVA and who has a bad cough avoiding French Départments that would mean I have to quarantine and claim om my insurance without breaching the Covid terms and conditions?

Should I buy ski boots that fit me, or should I get some that are not right (but a fashionable brand) and pay somebody a small fortune to fettle them to make them marginally less uncomfortable ? Is this a cheaper way to make me a better skier than private lessons ?

I'd like to ask a question that prompts extensive answers from Forum members and then slowly but surely post details which mean they wasted their time, all in a tone that makes it seem like it's their fault they couldn't read my mind e.g.
"Where's the best resort for intermediate skiing and aprés"
as opposed to
"I'm a relatively new skier planning a trip from Yorkshire, travelling with my sister who likes to aprés, husband and three kids, in school holidays meeting up with a friend from Zurich who doesn't ski. My sister and I would drive out in my husband's company car (would we be insured?) via Zurich to pick up my friend and my husband would fly out to Grenoble with the kids as we've already booked those flights. The place has to be ski-in/ski-out and we want a catered chalet for around £450/person all-in and wouldn't be seen dead self-catering and the youngest is 18 months so we'll need a creche and/or nanny and my friend's a keen swimmer so there needs to be a full-size swimming pool nearby and my sister has various food allergies that need to be catered for. My sister says it's got to be Zermatt, Courchevel 1850 or Vail."

My partner is a vegan celiac, which mountain restaurants in "insert resort name" will cater for her?
Do I need a new "insert clothing/equipment"
What is the best way from getting from "insert airport" to "insert resort"
Which side of Geneva Airport should I hire a car from?

@Richard_Sideways, Hmm, But the Blues ones have a Super-Dense Graphene Core (developed by Dr Zeus at Cerne Labs). As you know, the S.D.G.C provides more weight and increased speed on the Downhill Pistes. The downside being they slow down Gondolas, Bubbles and worst of all Pomas/Drags as you ascend.
Decisions, Decisions -- I shall get the Red ones (saves being thrown out of a Gondola by enraged fellow skiers...)
