Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

How long before travel are Crystal emailing details?

Travelling with Crystal on Saturday; not had anything through apart from initial email confirmation of flights and accommodation and emails advising to check restrictions etc.

Assume I should get an actual flight tickets email or something closer to time?

Haven't booked a package for a long time so can't remember if I should have something by now and need to chase up or is it literally in week before go?

From memory, 5 weeks ago! As long as you have booking ref that’s all you need, I tried to book in on line but was rejected so just turned up without any issues.

Hmm -- I received an 'E-ticket' 5 days before my departure date with Passenger/Flight/Accommodation details (didn't look much like a 'ticket' though !)

Thanks- just double checked confirmation email and says final details to be confirmed in e tickets- if I've not had anything by Tuesday morning I'll embark on the task of trying to contact them (luckily a quiet work day!)

They should have sent you a link to the TUI flight extras website that you can use your name and booking details to log onto to download boarding passes etc.

@MCL, suggest logging on to your booking.as per my Crystal fiasco thread, I’m not enamoured with Crystal, however I’m sure the vast majority of holidays go ahead fine. Just check using their systems

@MCL, all the necessary information to check-in should be either on their website or in the confirmation. Have you tried logging into the website? I'm in a similar position and not expecting anything more than I've currently got. (I'd definitely log on before I tried contacting them - one day may not be enough).

So am I and I've already checked in! Go onto website and click "Manage Booking", (top right), then log in with your reference number, date of holiday and name. After you've filled in passport info etc, this will let you check in and print your boarding pass. Haven't had any e-tickets, though!

Just remembered, I downloaded the Crystal app, put my booking reference number in and all my check in info was there, never got any e-ticket, at check in they printed off a ticket for boarding, and on arrival at the hotel, I gave ref no and name.

Excellent that's us checked in and boarding passes printed..... so does that mean we literally take bags and skis to a luggage drop point and go through security?! Or do we have to queue anyway to show vaccine status etc

If/when you check in, check the boarding passes carefully, especially if you have snowboard carriage booked. I've just checked our boarding passes and the ski carriage is showing fine but the snowboard carriage isn't. We had the same problem in 2020 and it was a known issue. Surely they could/should have fixed it by now! Now to try and get it fixed without spending time I don't have on the phone to Crystal.

We have done two Crystal trips this year, on both, everyone had to queue up for check in despite doing the online check in.

As I understand it, we'll be dealing with self service machines, so I'd much prefer the boarding passes to be right.

I spoke to them today about this and they confirmed that the boarding passes will not show any ski/board carriage but provided its on your e-ticket then it should be fine for the bag drop..... lets wait and see

Yes, likewise. Apparently it's a known issue. Ski carriage shows up fine; snowboard carriage doesn't.

This was an issue in 2020 as well. Crystal seemed surprised when I said this as apparently they're on a different system now. It's quite impressive (but not necessarily in a good way) to replicate this issue in a new system.

Ours don't mention ski carriage but has a total luggage weight that includes it

E ticket has correct total weight on it for ski carriage, boarding pass has ski carriage specified
