Nordica Enforcer 100 Alternative?

I have for the last 4 years been skiing on Nordica Enforcer 100s with Shift bindings and I love them.
A great combination of stability, power, and off-piste performance.
I am 11 stone and an advanced but not expert skier.
Favourite terrain is Canadian trees in powder.

My only gripe is, they are not the lightest skis due to the two metal sheets. So when boot-packing or touring I suffer especially as I have just turned 60 and don't have as much puff!

I also have a set of Sick Day Tourists with Vipec bindings which are lighter but are quite disapointing in comparrison. I spend all my time on the 'down' wishing I was on my Enforcers.

The Enforcers sit in that range along with the Bonafide, the Mantra, and the Mindbender all of which I know would appeal to me but are all not exactly light.

With all the latest technology available, does anyone have a recommendation for a ski that is noticably lighter, but maintains the attributes of the Enforcer and is bags of fun?
I would probably stick with the Shifts for maximum knee protection. Very Happy

Really fantastic ski and way more competent than you'd expect from the weight (FYI I'm also a big Enforcer fan), even carving on really firm pistes they are a lot of fun.

As with all light skis, they do get knocked around more than damp metal chargers when rallying through choppy snow - you simply can't get around physics - but much less so than I expected (they're pretty stiff). Ski a little more 'technically' and they don't limit you.

As a 'do everything adventure ski' they're the best I've ever had.

EDIT: this was assuming you want something in addition to the Enforcer for touring. As a one ski for everything solution the sturdier non-L version would probably be better

@FoofyNoo, ive got the atomic bent chetler 100 with shifts , they go well in the trees of BC for sure , not a super light ski but no metal so sure a bit down from the enforcer , black crows might be worth a look too

im a similar age to you and happy to lug the BC's around on a lift served day tour or any boot pack , but also have a pair of black crows camox with light tech bindings for bigger tours , but they would go well with the shift too

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@FoofyNoo, not a ski to blend with the shift IMHO ,but would work well with a tecton , keeping it light !
But again more of an out and out touring ski not a 50/50 like the fx 96 which in the non metal version would be a good one to look at

@FoofyNoo, @zzz has the Mantras and really rates them but I am informed that they are a bit fragile. I’m using, as a novice tourer, Black Diamond Route 95s, which I could, more or less, use instead of my Bonafides. The current BD model is, I think, a little bit smoother, but, hey, whatever.

After all it is free

I'm using the standard black crows navis with shifts as my daily ski and have no complaints. Much lighter than the enforcer and skis very nicely (I'm heavier than you as well).

When I come to replace them I might go for something like the ronin 108 which I've skied and enjoyed. Keeping shifts until something better comes along.

FYI: After extensive research, I am going for the Atomic Bent Chetler 100s.

They consistently get reviewed as one of the most versatile low weight All Mountain skis. They seems so versatile that they are often put in both All-Mountain and Freeride catagories. They also seem very good value.

Someone told me once to buy skis for the snow you are likely to be skiing on, not the snow you would like to ski on .... hence the 'go-anywhere' Enforcers.
It looks like the BC 100s are similar in that they will cope well with anything ..... but are noticably lighter which is what I was looking for.

I regularely ski runs where the snow conditions change many times during the descent ... from powder to ice to hardpack to rubble to slush ... apart from Japan where it seems to change from powder to powder and back to powder Very Happy

. I need a ski that can cope with anything [Enforcer] and one that can cope with anything nearly as well, and not totally wear me out when bootpacking/skinning [BC 100]

If I could have loads of skis for every occasion then I would, but my luggage allowance only really allows me two sets of skis with Quiver Killers and one set of Shifts.

I do have a set of Head Rebel World Cup skis but those only come out if I am just trying to [unsuccessfully] race carve through gates.
My heart is really off piste .......

snow reports

I did a demo last year on Enforcer 93 (not 100), Stormrider 95, Mantra M5 and some other other skis. SR 95 blew all the other skis out of water. I ended up getting M5 at an end of season discount sale. SR95 was great but was just too pricey for me. Between M5 and Enforcer I went with M5 but that's a personal choice. They are both decent but I felt I connected with M5 better. Enforcer is a bit more playful imo.
