Poster: A snowHead

Seen these goggles being worn by Chemmy Alcott on ski Sunday, but now the OH has fallen in love with them as they have a panda on the strap! Before we spend our hard earned cash on these, does anyone have any experience. Their quick changeover lense system with magnets seems good but if the optics are poor in the first instance then it’s of no benefit. Any experience reports of this product would great.

@m_colebrook,
Hi, I bought the Cobalt Pink for my daughter as she loved them too. I was so impressed with them that I then bought the Funnel Black for me.
Just returned from Alpe d’Huez and I must say they were excellent.
Had Smith and Oakley’s previously and was still pleased with them.
Didn’t use the low light lenses, conditions we had I never needed to.
I hope someone else replies to give you a balanced opinion but I am very pleased with my purchase’s just wish I was going skiing again to use them.
Kind regards
DJ

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I wouldn’t worry about the tech.
These days high quality optics are available in many places so you don’t need to go massively expensive to get good coatings these days.
We use coated optics in our kit and I know of one Chinese company that can make similar quality to big USA manufacturing at 20% of the price. Not in the ski market but it can be similar tech.
Just because it is under 100 quid doesn’t mean it is poor.

Same as Melon / Sungod / Any new brand with magnetic lenses etc. All from Alibaba... Not that its a bad thing but you could start your own Google company and have 20 pairs for the same price as one.

Thanks all. @Drunkenjoiner, I was worried as we've always used Oakleys etc, so thanks.

@m_colebrook, bit of a bump, but did you go with these at all, and how were they?
