Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
After a bit of help and advice,
I am set to be driving from Switzerland to Dieppe to catch the ferry on Wednesday. I am very aware of the restrictions that will be imposed from tomorrow. I am really worried I am going to end up stranded in Switzerland or France!
My main worry is will I be able to get across the Swiss / French border?
All the news reports are very confusing and all give slightly different information.
I am sure many people are in the same situation as me.
Thanks in advance.

Are you sure the ferry will be running ?
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

At the moment it says it will be. Fingers, toes etc are all crossed.

Good luck Max.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

At the risk of stating the obvious, but a few tips: Looks like a good idea to complete a
French Travel Form
(see below for link to the download page); take a spare
fuel can with fuel
just in case; try to fill up asap with enough fuel to get you to/around Dieppe (i.e. don't wait until you need to refuel); we find a
thermos
of coffee is really welcome; obvs a packed lunch/dinner; water. Oh, and bring back some
Gruyere salé
to top all those soups you'll be cooking during self-isolation back home. Good luck ....
