Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Extended weekend in Austria or France in January from Netherlands?

Hello guys.

I'm struggling to find an easy way to get to the nice slopes in Austria or France from Netherlands.
I honestly thought that this time of the year it would have many bus companies with almost daily trips to the alps.... rookie mistake.

My plans is to go for an extended weekend, travelling at a Thursday evening/night and coming back on a Monday. With those inflexible dates it gets very difficult to find a bus or flight(I need to dispatch my skis and boots) with the shuttle bus at a reasonable time and price.
I'm seriously considering driving all the way by myself(around 400 euros for gas and toll), it's basically the same price as flight + shuttle, but much more comfortable and relaxed, it is around 10 hours drive.

Do you guys know any other option I might consider ? Any Dutch friend up for a quick trip ? snowHead

@AndreSilva, cant you just jump on the train, or drive?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Well, train is possible but it's a hassle, usually 2 or 3 trains to get there.
By car is for sure the best option, but it's boring to drive alone for 10+ hours. Although I don't mind it, I prefer to share with someone Smile
