How big was the hog? I come across them sometimes in the paths behind the house - generally around dusk - and the males are huge beasts and I'm glad to be on my mountain bike.
In the south they have pig/sanglier cross which are almost domesticated called Sanglochon.
"Les sanglochons sont fréquente lorsque la population sauvage a été reconstituée par des femelles de cochons domestiques saillies par un sanglier mâle. " - sounds like oneglove's worst nightmare !

So the narrative is the "Dog's."
