Hi. We are due to fly out this weekend, arrive in Altenmarkt 21st March. I am worried re the impact of Covid -19 in terms of resort closures, flights cancellations ,.restrictions etc especially as we booked independantly and our insurance is no longer covering anything related to Covid-19. Would be v keen to hear from locals what the situation is like, anticipated closures etc. Thanks heaps.

@EEN, Nothing so far but I'd be careful where you transit on route. Check for restrictions from transit country too.

Yeah we are heading to Zauchensee for three week, concerned over access from the UK, however FCO say no current restrictions

We have had to cancel and lose everything minus the flights as our travel.insurance will not cover anything related to Covid-19 and just too.risky to get stuck.somewhere.with no medical or travel disruption cover. We also have 3 young kSingapore Airlines redunded our non refundable ticket so impressed with them.

@holidayloverxx, Now that doesnt aound good. Temps seem all over the place, not that i know.much! is it a bad season for snow?

It's been a bit erratic but I've been having a great two weeks skiing off piste around the region, the snow is a bit heavy but you can still find shady pockets which are untracked.
|

Ok, we can no longer go on holiday next week. So thinking ahead, Jet 2 are only offering date changes for next year. Fingers crossed we get a refund now ski resorts closing though. We want to make use of the kids free lift pass deal ( in mid March this year) Does anyone know the likely dates for this offer in 2021? Cheers.
