Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

No stamps in passport but it will be in the API data the UK collects. Not sure if it shows up when they scan that chip thing? You'd better have a good story when stopped for questioning though. Not sure I'd risk it personally

Americans do get stamps when entering from outside of and then leaving European countries. So if I were to go to France and then try to travel back to the US via the UK then my passport would have an exit stamp from France (I am an American that lives in the UK so my passport is full of European stamps where my husbands UK passport has none)

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@klwood, Yes, of course, I should have clarified UK passports don't get stamped (for now).
But did they not say Americans would be able to return anyway but would have to isolate? I've lost track.

US citizens (or legal residents) will face enhanced health checks if they return to the US from a Schengen country from midnight on Friday, but are not completely banned from travelling. We have British friends who are now New York residents who visited us a couple of weeks ago and are currently in Paris. They've curtailed their trip and are flying back to New York tomorrow to return home before the new travel arrangements come in to force, as they don't want to get snarled up in whatever new health checks will take place at JFK. However, there is an outbreak of cases near where they live in Westchester so they are not hopeful of avoiding all disruption.
