Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Ah a guide video to the new BASI instructors qualification.
Frankly, the quicker that ski ballet can be introduced back into the competitive arena, the better... And Dave Ryding might actually stand a chance at that.
But he did win a giant slalom silver in the 1973 World Cup (his dad won slalom gold in the 1960 Olympics) before becoming a "singer".

@prometheus, yup, good old fashioned elegant Austrian style skiing. When does the helmet debate begin?

Now that's "Proper" skiing - and what I aspired to for years.....and just as I started to get a handle on it, I was told "You don't want to do it like that".
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@Old Fartbag, I still ski like that by default: not remotely that good of course and without the ballet and yodelling, and certainly not in white!
On the plus side, it's an excellent way to annoy my daughter.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

I have turned annoying my Daughter into an art form.....so I may take your idea - and add in the Yodelling. If that doesn't work, nothing will!
You know it makes sense.

This is a very rough translation made with an internet translator and my very rough grasp of the German language …..
Yes, when we twist on the slopes the ski-bunnies marvel at us for wedeling (short skidded turns with a bum wiggle) in rhythm, this is loved by everyone.
Yes, when we twist on the slopes winter is beautiful and the ski season can last into the summer.
It's a pleasure to look into your blue eyes, which I now have to do without to shoot down a steep slope.
To look into your blue eyes was my dream during the downhill run.
I picked up a black eye myself from a the tree though.
Yes, and the best are the parties, après-ski every night, there’s a Fondue and we dance until tomorrow morning.
If you have never kissed it will happen without any effort at ski twist, just let me be your apres ski instructor.
Otherwise you'll just go on seeing the one name:

You do realise that this is the very top, the cream of Austrian music culture?

It's not only the cream that floats to the top
Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

He still skis better than any of us!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

That's great, watching the two videos the change in ski method, the length of skis, the pole plant and jump rather than the carving and punching the poles, shows that the sport has indeed changed. I think I prefer to ski on the shorter skis, lol, I learned on long straight skis and skied with them for quite a while .
