Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les arcs 200 beginners lessons

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi Guys, looking for a bit of advice.
We're going skiing to Les arcs the first week of march and have a 26 year old complete beginner who wouldn't be the fittest and a 55 year old who has had a few private lessons but should be in a beginners class.
I was suggesting they both do group lessons, the question is whether to do mornings or morning and afternoons?
Planning on sending them to esf unless someone has a different suggestion?
Thanks in advance Madeye-Smiley

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Welcome to the Forum.

I take it you mean Arc 2000, rather than 200 beginner lessons! Toofy Grin

I'd go down to !950 and sign up with Spirit 1950.

As for morning or afternoon - I'd go morning. That will get them onto the hill straight away and when they'll have the most energy.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks fartbag, my question was should they do full day group lessons or just morning's?

You need to Login to know who's really who.

Half days unless they're both fit and keen.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Apologies - that's what happens when I half read the question. Embarassed

The answer is - It depends.

How much they enjoy the lessons
How keen they are
Whether they want to ski all day
Whether they will have people to ski with outside the lessons

Another option is to take half day lessons and have a couple of Private Lessons as well, if necessary.
