Poster: A snowHead

I am looking at going to UCPA Les Contamines for a week on February 29th. It seems none of the transfer companies go there, they will only drop in Saint Gervais but I will arrive too late to catch the bus to Les Contamines. Is anybody travelling here on Saturday February 29th who would be interested in sharing a private transfer or a hire car from Geneva to Les Contamines? Cheers!

Alpybus leaves at 16:30 so I might be pushing it to make that, I think taxi is the only option from Saint Gervais but they seem to be crazy expensive

Unfortunately yes, that includes a change of bus in Sallanches. There is a later bus from Sallanches (19:15) that goes through Le Fayet (19:30) and Saint Gervais (19:40) but annoyingly the timings are just awkward enough to miss this. If there was something leaving Geneva around 17:00-17:30 it would be ideal. 16:20 or 16:30 Alpybus cutting it a bit fine, 18:30 Alpybus too late.

@dfitz1000, Have you looked at getting the train to Le Fayet ? It might match up better with a bus to Les Contamines.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Good point, I haven't actually checked the train options... Will take a look now. Cheers!

Interesting that there is a new train that just opened in Geneva on 15th December called the Leman Express (https://www.lemanexpress.ch/en/) and it connects Cornavin station with Saint Gervais Le Fayet directly, sometimes with a change at Annemasse. Looks like a good option for anybody heading that way and there is a train that will leave the airport at 17:20 and get me to Le Fayet at 19:16 with changes at Cornavin and Annemasse.
Still, if anybody is going to Les Contamines on February 29 let me know as I would be up for sharing a private transfer.
