Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Issues with current ski boots/ Looking for recommendation on good ski boot fitter near Leeds.

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I am looking for as the title states new ski boots. Iv had my current boots 5 years but the last couple of times skiing I feel like my feet move about what feels like far too much (in my opinion of which I have very little knowledge) but the biggest issue I have is my skinny calves bounce around the boot a lot especially the top part of my calf, this despite me adjusting the buckles quite tight.

Now I know some of this probably will be technique and will be addressing this separately. So I'm looking into getting fit by a good boot fitter around my area. My current boots are salomon x-pro 100 the 2016 model circa march 2015 bought and they where custom fit at Ellis brigham in castleford. I bought them about 3 months after my first ski trip. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Liam

Glide n Slide in Otley is the nearest and comes well recommended here. https://www.glideslide.co.uk/

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Backcountry UK in Otley are excellent, they specialise in backcountry and touring but hopefully should have something to suit you. Alternatively Rivington Alpine in Chorley are also excellent and will have a wider range of boots for on piste skiing and well worth the trip over the M62. I wouldn’t go to anywhere else. Phone either or both first
