Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sauze ski tech recommendations

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all

Can anyone recommend a shop for a ski service in Sauze that isn't the usual Intersport "throw it through a waxing machine" job. I don't mind paying a bit more, but I really need someone to properly sort my edges out.

Cheers

I can only half answer that by recommending Besson Sport in the town centre, not far from the Clotes lift. I didn’t get my own skis serviced, but did hire what I would say were the best looked-after rental skis I’ve ever had from there. They were a pretty friendly bunch: you could always pop in and ask them how they do their edge tuning.

I was in Sauze a couple of year's ago and looking to try some more specialist skis, rather than just standard hire fare and the best place I found was tucked in the little square where the ski pass office is. Assuming it's still there might be worth speaking to them.

We always use the place at the bottom of the Clotes piste next to the Hotel Stella Alpina - Eydallin Sports. The hotel and it are owned by the same family, Caroline (Brit) and her husband, can't remember his name, used to be a ski instructor, now a guide, their boys are instructors and race for Italy. Always get a good job, especially as we always try to stay with them.
