Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Serre Chevalier 19/20

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello!

Me and two friends (all from Sweden) are planning on going to Serre Chevalier for three months, january to march, and need to get some place to live. We've been looking around on AirBnB but most of them are just renting for maximum a month. Is there anyone who has been there before and know a good way to find somewhere to live (that doesn't cost a fortune in rent), or know a good website to look for places to live? We're mainly looking for an apartment or something like that in Villeneuve/La Salles les Alpes.

Would also be fun to know if anyone else has planned to go there this winter, or got any other tips about Serre Chevalier! Smile

@ppatriciia_, welcome to snowHeads. I own an apartment in Serre Chevalier, so know the place well. I'm not really sure of any places to rent for the season, but there's several other regulars on here who might. Rents will probably be cheaper in Briancon than up in Villeneuve/La Salles. You could also ask on this Facebook group Serre Chevalier, Buy it, Sell it, Rent it / Acheter, Vendre, Louer https://www.facebook.com/groups/822302667856904/

@ppatriciia_, a very good friend of mine (Swedish), Tina, runs the https://hotel-dubez.com/ she also has a number of apartments as well as contacts so might be able to help/advise.

Give her a couple of weeks as she's had a family bereavement recently.

Good chance I may be heading back to Serre Che for a short break in mid Jan. Looking at staying in Briancon as I've found a lovely large apartment there only 5 mins walk from Prorel.

Am I right in thinking that eating out/drinks are going to be relatively reasonable there (compared to "normal" French ski resort prices!)? I'm assuming it can't be too horrendous as it's a "proper" town and not just a concrete resort in the mountains somewhere. Any thoughts/opinions/restaurant/happy hour bar suggestions welcome!
