Poster: A snowHead

Looking for any advice or info.
Our niece is going to be working the season in St Christophe (Arlberg) and we'll be in Austria motorhome/skiing. At some point we'll be meeting up with her for a social/shopping trip (She's never skied but I've given her a "starter kit" of clothing - base layers, gloves, pants, jacket, helmet, goggles, - we're happy to add to the collection if she finds she really loves skiing).
Innsbruck seems a logical place to meet (an hour on the train for her and we are going to be based in the SuperSkiCard region but not looking to be "west" this year).
My question is..... small resorts versus bigger city versus online? ..... I'm not expecting Niece L to be able to afford anything in the shops at Lech but we've found the very occasional bargain in other villages. Are the prices in Innsbruck shops, especially the big retail park, better value for money?
Cheers, in advance, for any insights.
Elaine
Edit: not totally altruistic - I'm after another jacket too

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@Scamper, you can sometimes get a bit of a discount in the big stores, and there are some cheaper stores like TK Maxx, though I’m not sure what they have in stock. I get most of mine online though, often from UK sites because of the exchange rate, or from German discounters like Sport Conrad or Bergzeit. It’s also worth noting that Blue Tomato have a huge online stock which is often discounted, but the shop carries hardly any of it

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I think TK Maxx can be a bit variable, but as far as I can tell, this one gets its stock from the same warehouse as in the UK, so you probably wouldn’t see anything different. Giga Sport have a big store here that you can check out online, as do XXL Sport (I’ve not been in that one, but I went in to another branch and it was a bit like a combination of Sports Direct and the maze at Hampton Court. I think all the staff had got lost in the maze, too). If she’s a snowboarder, there’s a big Burton store as well.
Yes, it might be that she finds something she has is not quite right (not warm enough/too warm etc) and needs a specific replacement.

Ah, my fault, I forget it's not just about skis - no, she's not a snowboarder either.
