Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all, going to Pozza di Fassa (Dolomites) in Feb half-term and looking for ski lessons for my 6 year old. Been looking at the ski schools in Pozza and Vigo di Fassa, anybody got any experiences good/bad of either? We’ve stayed in the area before but this is the first time we’ve needed to book lessons!! Thanks!

my experience of the dolomites is that each village has its ski school, and that is pretty much the only one. and they are the only ones i have seen doing ski school.
as such they are as good as bad as the indivual instrutor. We did ski school for my two for 2 years and they understood, but they didnt really enjoy the lessons as they said that every group seems to have a couple of little ShIts in it. We now give them a couple of hours at the beginning of the week in either corvara or colfsco and they are all pretty lovely - i think the english speaking instructors are typically younger.
one (who was clearly a memeber of the northern league) went into great detail how much she loathed teaching italians in ski school, my daughters were rather shocked how frank she was being. but overall all good

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for your reply, he’s had a few private lessons before in the Val di Zoldo which he’s enjoyed but we did have a pretty rubbish experience with the ESF in Chatêl, so pretty keen to avoid totally putting him off ski school!! I guess it’s just luck of the draw who the instructor is!!!

I think it is, and also the group, and English group is a group that doesn’t speak Italian or German, so my daughter had a couple of Russians in hers. And then don’t forget the annoying brat child which on my small sample there seems to be one in every group but I think that is the risk of a group Lesson
