When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi guys looking for some recommendations.

I am looking to purchase a new airbag and thinking either a gas or super capacitor system. I have an old Haglofs
vojd pack just now.

I do a bit of touring and off piste in Scotland and usually a week in the alps off piste most years. I have a Dakine 28l backcountry non airbag pack for longer days and a 20l Ortovox freerider non airbag for resort sidecountry.

Looking for a bag with good ski carry and a compromise between sizes.

@snowscot, I’ve had a couple of ABS Vario’s, and a couple of Black Diamond/Pieps Battery packs, and I’ve now got a Scott E1 Patrol, and it by far the best designed pack l’ve used. Apart from being lighter, it also has A Frame ski carry which the others don’t.
