Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone here a member? I joined last year, but a combination of no snow and my knackered right knee meant that I never went on any trips. This season I'd like to actually use my touring gear, so it'd be great to plan in some trips with fellow Snowheads. Even if they might end up as hillwalking weekends.

@Valkyrie, yes, I’m a member. Good bunch of folk in ESTC, and a good spread of meets to usefully-located venues for winter season meets. Also some pre-season meets, coming up soon - autumn hillwalking (Skye, Clova) great for getting legs back in shape for ski season! - and some social meets too.

Next Tuesday is season launch party in Bruntsfield. PM me if you want any details.

I'm another member although I live near to Stirling. There's a monthly pub night for anyone that can make it, bit too far for me. Come along and meet us we won't bite.

Pub night is fortnightly these days - first and third Tuesday of the month, at Crosstown Eatery & Drinkery, on Fountainbridge (just opposite junction with Semple St). But certainly a friendly bunch of folk in the pub irrespective of frequency Happy

@Valkyrie, I think you and I maybe exchanged some emails last season? (I was meets secretary until June)
