Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski boots hurting feet

I have been skiing for about 32 years and have never had a problem with boots hurting my feet. Last year I bought a new pair of Technica and have skied enough on them to break them in and have taken them in to have them widen out as they are hurting the outsides of my feet
I can never get them adjusted where they dont hurt.

My last pair were Salomon and did hurt a little but nothing like these.

I have a 7 year old daughter and she started skiing last year and does not want to leave when we go. I am to the point I would rather sit and watch her than ski because my feet hurt so bad.

As all guys over the years I have put on some weigh I also feet change over your life. Need some advice am i at that point where i need custom fitted liners. I also have larger calves to to lifting and sports training over the years.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, feet change, but it doesn’t sound like your Tecnicas were fitting correctly at the start. Where did you get them from? Did you have the, fitted/moulded/modded initially?

You really need to talk to a good fitter and see what they can do to help. If you tell us whereabouts you are living/going skiing, you’ll probably get a recommendation.

It may be the main or primary footpain issue is not the boot but the skiers physical lack of flexion in the ankle and lower chain.

Often ill fitting boots will be the secondary issue in conjunction with the primary issue such as a physical lack of flexion to ski .
