Poster: A snowHead

Hi All, Im planning a little trip for a foursome in january '20 (we have flights booked already). Fly out Thursday - Fly back following Tuesday, so looking for flexible accommodation (decent quality food/room but not top end) for 5 nights in a large-ish resort near Geneva. Skiers are one couple of high intermediates, and one couple of 1 week beginners.........any recommendations on catered chalet or hotel that would fit our bill? Much appreciated

You will find hotel accommodation in the valley much easier to find - but you would need a car. Your timing doesn't include the New Year week?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Hotels and chalets will probably want to wait till nearer the time to accept a 5 day booking - hoping for two full weeks.

The Milk Hotel in Les Carroz might fit the bill. I've certainly been there for a long weekend in Jan. Nice but not posh, great location at bottom of the piste on way back to the village (but a bit of a walk into town admittedly). Good grub, friendly staff. Still getting very good reviews on Tripadvisor since I went about 7 years ago.

@barneybill, one hotel I know in Megeve offers short break bookings. Not sure whether they would match your days exactly.
Half board, just over 1 hour from Geneva, comfortable accommodation, great food.

Hotel Le Delta in Le Grand Bornand might be an option - you can book online and they do five days (just checked) in January. It's a three star hotel with a nice outdoor hot tub and decent breakfast. Short walk to the middle of town. We've stayed there twice.

Le Grand Bornand is about an hour from GVA - really nice genuine town, decent variety of restaurants with a gondola up to the main ski areas and ski down when snow allows. Lift pass prices are good too (compared to some)
