Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
Me and a friend will be doing a ski season next winter and staying in Chamonix, we will be purchasing an unlimited season pass which includes all areas in the valley and free access to Courmayeur. I've emailed the tourist office and found out that the last early bird unlimited season pass was 1,014 Euro. So I expect next season early bird to be a very similar price.
A couple of things I'm unclear about which I hope someone on here has experienced in...
Does the season pass include Verbier and to what extent (it's a little confusing on the websites i've found)
Is the chamonix leisure centre included in the season pass? On websites it states with 3-21 day unlimited passes but no mention of what's included in season pass.
Thanks for your time.

I'm also spending (most of) the season in Chamonix and my understanding is that it includes a 50% discount to 4 Valleys area to a limit of 6 days in total for the season limited to 1 use/week.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

What @Gustavobs said
It's great value for all the areas covered.
I'm planning to be there most of the season again too - see you there!

I was planning to do Chamonix this season but couldn't justify it based on the costs. Am getting 3 months in BC, for the price that 2 months in Chamonix would cost. Even with the flights, much cheaper accomodation and lift pass makes BC much more affordable. Combine that with much more snow in an average year in bc, the issues Chamonix has been having with their lifts, and the inbounds set up for when I don't want the hassle of carrying avy equipment/have a partner/avy risk is high etc. and it was an easy decision.
It's not really possible to compare directly, but theres an argument to be made that the likes of epic and ikon passes offer much better value for money than Chamonix.
This isn't a knock on the quality of skiing to be had in Chamonix. It's clearly one of the top ski destinations in the world, and I hope to spend some time there in the near future. However, I can't say for me personally it offers good value for money.

@boarder2020, it is expensive and a pain in the ass to move around the areas but I just keep going back every year ... never been to BC but must be awesome!

Like I said I wasn't trying to put down Chamonix. I'm sure it's awesome and there's obviously a reason people are willing to pay. Will probably bite the bullet and go the winter after next.

Yeah that would be good (if you don't mind hanging out with a couple of snowboarders).
Msg me nearer the time and we can meet up.

Thank you for replies so far.
Does anybody know about the sports centre there, if it's included in unlimited season pass?

Sports centre not included afaik (we are about to buy our annual passes, well, maybe next month).
Verbier: 8 free days included. Last year anyway.

You get 6 free days in Verbier with the ANNUAL pass only and you can only use 1 a week. With just the season pass you get the same days but at 50% off.
Richard Bozon sports centre is not included and this winter I paid 100 euros for a 4 month membership (I just paid 200 euros for an annual membership)
You do get a free go in the spa with an MBU pass though which is definitely worth a visit.
If you plan to do any more seasons the annual MBU becomes much cheaper as a repeat customer and if you buy as a couple (or are under 25).

Out of curiosity how much cheaper are we talking?
Also when does the season pass end?

You know it makes sense.

I think I paid 1200 for my first annual pass and then 820 ish for my 2nd year. No idea when the season pass ends I'm afraid.
