Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi there can anyone tell me how strict the rule is for men to wear speedo in the swimming pool in meribel? Also will the men need caps. My husband is bald, will he still need one? Many thanks

Last time I was there the speedo rule was strictly enforced. Can't remember what the cap rules were like.

@tarrantd, thanks Smile Off to buy some budgie smugglers. Do you know if they have to be the "knicker" type or can you get the short shorts type (more like a tight lycra boxer?)

I generally wear the trunk-type Speedos in France, I reckon you don't have to do the full budgie-smuggler experience.

@polo99, not sure specifically about Meribel pool but usually in France the lycra boxer short type swimming trunks are usually OK.

The trunk type are (or were) what they sell in the machine in the changing area.

No issue in Dec 2017 wearing swimming shorts (Bermuda/surf shorts not permitted)

https://ski-resort.meribel.net/equipment/2/716683-swimming-pool.html - says "Swim shorts are permitted"

They have to be something that you wouldn't normally wear in the street so anything vaguely body-hugging made of lycra / elastane is fine - no matter what the length or bagginess.

However, things like beach shorts that are not stretchy and may have a mesh lining inside are not. I was once kicked out of a pool in Bourg d-Oisins for wearing such things - even though they had SPEEDO in very large letters down the side.
