Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Arcs 1950

Poster: A snowHead
Just returned from a great weeks skiing in Les Arcs.
Stayed in 1950
Booked with Skibeat after using them last year and being impressed with their overall service.
Flights with BA from Gatwick to Lyon. Early morning flight at just after 6am. Return leg was a 7-40 check in which which meant being picked up at 4am in Les Arcs.
Catered chalet - (4 bedroom apartment) in Prince Des Cimes block - ski in ski out. 9 of us in total in the chalet - family of 4 and another couple. Booked ski hire with ski shop which was directly below apartments.
Chalet was very comfortable - great living area with very comfortable furnishings, modern - great log burner which was used every night.
Apartment was very comfortable. Nice pool with sauna and steam room available.
We had 5 days out of 6 where it snowed. Very lucky as it snowed first and second morning of skiing which provided a much needed covering of snow for a lot of the runs.
Our chalet host from SkiBeat was outstanding.
Previous experience of Les Arcs was from 2 previous visits to La Plagne where we visited for day.
This trip gave us the opportunity to experience the whole ski area and absolutely loved it.
1950 was perfect for us - if you are looking for nightlife or great Apres then it is probably not for you. Few decent pubs and some nice restaurants
