Done.
We used to call it Villard Wreck Yer Ass due to that drag lift you used to take to get over to AdH.

We ski from Vaujany, and no-one there has a good thing to say about the idea - but I don't think it would be practical for us to use - probably quicker to drive most of the time, and a full day's skiing to be had rather than a couple of hours using this. What do the Alpe d'Huez and Auris users think (and Oz, and Villard Reculas)? And what about the locals?
Smells like a vanity project to me.

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but. Does anyone know if it will still be possible to do the short helicopter transfers between Alpe D'Huez and Les Deux Alpes this winter?

I can't see why not it's been going for many years. Not seen anything to the contrary.
It's only for skiing though, you can't take luggage over.

Had a wonder up at the weekend. Looks good from about 2000m up.
Snow warnings for today always gets me excited!

With crappy weather all weekend I didn't bother heading over

Skied today which was not too bad considering the rain yesterday.
Snow from 2100 up was good. Signal and Marcel's farm decent enough.
Nice to get the first winter ski done with it being the 24th November an added bonus.

Paperwork ditched for the morning to get up the mountain and enjoy the conditions.
Blue sky day with super snow and very quiet pistes. Still the odd rock off piste but things looking great so far.
As others have mentioned more snow due next week.

Should be super in resort today. Looks like it snowed most of yesterday, even down to Bourg at 720m
Been a great start to the season so far. Auris and Villard open on Saturday.

More snow this afternoon and tonight. Then the big snow storm on Friday. Hopefully Saturday's snow/rain level drops a little.
One of the best starts to the season since I moved here in 2012.

As predicted the bad weather has arrived. The snow level slowly coming down as I've watched from the ski pass office. Down to between 1600 and 1700 m.
Interesting to see what the next few days bring.
