I am Frédéric, from France. I create a new brand of monoskis, Cool Attack. These are modern boards very effective for carving, but already very easy and playful. I hate too technical boards effective but awfully hard to use...
You can see the introducing video by the link. Hope you will enjoy it...
Monoskis will be on sale next winter on my website www.cool-attack.com (not effective at the moment).
My oldest skiing buddy started out as a monoskier. He still has it but I don't think he's used it for years. One of his sons did for a bit. He's not the sort of guy to follow the herd. But in his dotage he admits it's bad for his normal ski's technique.
I saw one monoboarder this season. I saw a couple of telemarkers.
If you are in it for the crack, fair play... I don't think you'll sell enough to make your fortune.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There are many more monoskiers on earth than you think. Of course many less than skiers, but already many less brands that make some.
I already sell about 80 used monoskis each year everywhere in the world with ebay, and each year a bit more than year before. And my main gall is not to make fortune but to make people happy with my boards. And of course make a bit of money with that...

Listen to your temptation... With Cool Attack, monoski is very easy and fun!
After all it is free

While monos are just plain wrong, for every reason, have to admire @Coolattack's tenacity
(I have skied mono, quite a few times, in the 80s... including down the Wall, with a chum who had decided to ski in denim jeans and had endeavoured to make that more sensible by techwashing them. That worked as well as the monoskis.)
You'll get to see more forums and be part of the best ski club on the net.

May be already one monoboarder more in your country, 25% more than the 3 before...

Probably better for the knees than skiing or snowboarding.
As a snowboadrer who enjoys piste carving I'm surprised not more skiers use one.
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I am a freecarver snowboarder too, and I created these monoskis to find the same feeling as snowboard...
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

“Probably better for the knees than skiing or snowboarding. “
Probably not.
You know it makes sense.
You know it makes sense.
In France many monoboarders use a monoski because they have knees destroyed and can't ride ski.
Otherwise you'll just go on seeing the one name:

Unless you have some cunning shims, @Coolattack, by definition the geometry of mono ski bindings puts additional pressure on the knees.

Maybe, but if you have one distroyed you can use the other. Not the same on skis.
Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@Coolattack, you can ski on one leg (not the same as monoskiing).

@Coolattack, Welcome to snowHeads!
Nice that you are promoting monoskis, you don't see many of them about these days (although personally I prefer to have my two feet independent of each other on telemark skis).
Talking of one plank skiing, have you tried a skwal or a Teleboard? (at least one well known snowHead has a Teleboard)
