Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@glenski, never toured at Cervina, fancied the Breithorn. There’s some skinning tracks along side some of the higher pistes.

Was in the area around 10 days ago (ski mountainered up Breithorn 4164m, Castor 4223m & Signalkuppe 4554m). The high winds (110km+) from the previous weekend (16 & 17 March) had stripped away a lot of snow although more snow is forecast later this week so Easter conditions should be better. Many steeps had blue ice and the flatter sections were like riding frozen waves of hard snow. Quite a few crevasses around, I wouldn't ski tour the area without a guide for fear of falling into a crevasse.

They still haven't found this guy from last year.
