Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I’m interested in recommendations for hotels and resorts for next year. We are considering Austria or Italy. Our favourite resorts historically have been Mayrhofen and Morzine. Looking for good, red run skiing and resort with a bit of life. We want a nice hotel this time round, so have looked at White Angel in Cervinia for example. Interested to get ideas!

My 2 favourite places are Sauze and Kitzbuhel.
We have stayed at the Stella Alpina in Sauze 4 times - right on the slopes, lovely food, comfy rooms, nice bar, close to other (louder!) bars. One of the best things about Sauze is the lovely mountain bars/restuarants - you don't feel like you're being ripped off like you do in France. 400km of skiing across the Via Lattea. Love it!
It depends on your definition of 'nice' but Orso Bianco is lovely - but it's up on the mountain, so you wouldn't have the choice of nightlife (once you're up there, you can't get down in the evening!).
Kitzbuhel had great skiing, but we didn't stay in a hotel there - we self catered, because we had small kids in our party. Nice bars for straight off the slopes drinks, but beyond that I couldn't comment. We're going back there next year.
Both have short transfers, and both are nice pretty towns. I never hesitate to recommend either.
