Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

How's snow in Spanish Pyrenees?

Thinking of short ski trip to the Spanish Pyrenees, e.g. Formigal early next week. Any current reports on snow conditions? My son is a budding freestyler so would spend most of his time in the terrain park, whilst I would piste ski and generally hover nearby....

Have a quick check but fairly sure Formigal closes on Sunday.

Hmm the scheduled closing date of all the Aragonese resorts (and of pretty much every other Pyrenean resort that's still open) is straight after the Easter weekend... Where do you see info that Formigal will close early?

The snow is excellent right now, considering that we're in April; it's snowed a fair bit over the last week, with temperatures currently low... and there may well be more snow to come.

(And the news is just in that tiny Vallter 2000 will actually re-open for the Easter week after having had no choice but to close a couple of weeks ago after the month and a half of sunshine which took its toll on the less affluent, lower altitude ski areas.)

Formigal closing date was on its site and in La République newspaper. It seems strange as on this side of the border the Easter holidays kick in after Friday!

Interesting; needless to say I can't find anything useful whatsoever on their own website, which - in common with pretty much all Pyrenean ski resort websites - takes one back to the '90s in terms of design and function...
