Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Next years trip - recommendations for family/friends group

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

We are looking at booking next years ski trip and looking for some recommendations.

Requirements are:

- Chalet accommodation for 3 families (6 adults 4 kids)
- Ski in-out or as close to as possible
- Mixture of abilities, couple of adults in lessons so good range of beginner slopes would be good
- Looking to go mid/late March so thinking we need to go high

We have been to La Rosiere for the last couple of years with Esprit. We've loved the resort but feel like a bit of a change, we also really like the Esprit set up with lessoons/lunches etc.

So looking for ideas on resort and good tour companies for families, would be great if we could find a chalet small enough so we could book the whole thing but there don't seem to be too many of that size.

Thanks!

Sorry managed to miss that entirely Embarassed

Don’t know you need to go that much higher? My searches have all been focused around Feb half term and Easter school holidays.

I presume you don’t need childcare then if looking to move away feom esprit?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

This was somewhere that was suggested to me when I was looking for half term. They were fully booked when I contacted them, but from ski in Ski out perspective it looks amazing.

Haha - I was thinking that March is getting late in the year so might need to go higher to avoid too much slushiness or closed slopes. Not sure how high is high though...

We don't need full child care as all kids are in lessons, we usually do the morning lessons and then lunch with Esprit which works well so would be looking for something similar. Not so much looking to move away from Esprit but are looking to go somewhere a bit different and can't seem to see a chalet that ticks all the boxes with Esprit (aside from La Rosiere again).

@jonpinky, we are going out a week on Saturday- to Mayrhofen, last year we did same week in Val thorens and the year before in Val d’Isere. Year before we went a week early and it was Gressoney and the year before that back to kid April and St Anton. March feels positively early in comparison.

In terms of Esprit places Belle Plagne and Courcheval are both ski in ski out. However obviously much bigger places from what it sounds like you are after?

Thanks so we should be OK most places in March then!

Yes we have looked at those, ideally we would like something for just our party. We had the ideal set up with Esprit this year but seems they don't have the same options in other resorts so looking to other companies that provide a similar offering for kids lessons/lunch.

I would check out “Family Friendly Skiing” and Snowbizz in Puys St Vincent.

I haven’t used them but they have come recommended on here before.

Good shout. I used family friendly skiing a few years ago and found them very good for younger children with well located chalets. As mine get old (7 and 5) i do not really need any childcare anymore so have no need to use any childcare specialists now but would presume they are still good.
