Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Alpe d'Huez 30th March 2019 solo

Hi, am thinking of going on my first solo trip and have seen a deal to Alpe d'Huez on Saturday. My question is - what is the snow like at the moment? I have done plenty of spring skiing before in places like Pas De La Casa and Tignes and so I'm familiar with the slush in the afternoons low down but I see people commenting that Alpe d'Huez is mostly south facing.

I am 61 and ski mostly blues and reds with the odd black and don't do off piste so thats not an issue.
