Poster: A snowHead

We are going away at the end of this month (march) to Alpe D'huez with our 15 month old but was wondering if it is worth taking a pram for around the resort?
We think that it would be quite helpful around the airport but could manage without it if it was no use in the resort. She walks really well for her age.
Does anyone have any advise?

rickyday33,We will be taking our 14 month old away next year with us and will not be taking a pram but a light weight buggy instead that folds away into a rucksack. The rest of the time she will be sitting in a toboggan or in the papoose.

a sleepy tired toddler can become a warm snuggly sleeping toddler after a ten minute push in a pram, with warm covers. Buggies are not as good. Toboggans are fun but not for sleeping in!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

GBP20 buggy from argos. best buy we ever made. a sleeping toddler while delayed at an airport is worth its weight in gold. also veru useful for keeping places in queues, carrying luggage and getting on the plane first

rickyday33, I've not been to Alpe d'Huez, and I would say a lot depends on the resort itself. Took a 20 month old to la Tania recently and didn't really miss the buggy we left behind.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I'm thinking we are going to leave it at home. the main reason we wanted it is that we have an early morning flight so it would have been useful in the airport.

My 3 year old Grandaughter will taking her 4th ski holiday on Saturday next. We have taken her pushchair (a good sturdy 3 wheeler) on all of her previous holidays, and this one will be no different. However, it must be said, she has spent very little time actually sitting in it.
The pushchair is really great for transporting everything our party of 5 needs, including skis! With a little innovation it's amazing what you can get into these things. Getting on and off Gondolas - with practice, no problem - do you remember the Royal Navy's Field Gun Crew, where they dismantled a field gun, wheels and all and then re-assembled the lot in record time? well, it's a bit like that! And the little girl? ..............most of the time, carried by doting Grandma or Grandad.
