Snowing in Borovets today - if the temperatures stay around -4 then the lift company may start the snow cannons up in a few days time

Travelled from Sofia to the north of Bulgaria yesterday and the entire country is covered by 12 inches of snow.
Will update conditions in Borovets this weekend

I am working in the north until the end of Jan 2019, but I have taken an apartment for the season so will be heading to Borovets most weekends and then will be staying there until the end of the season
Thought I would give a bit back to Snowheads by providing a few weather and conditions updates

Going back to Borovets in January for a long weekend, so I'll be watching this thread!
It's looking quite snowy on the webcams today.

It is very white, the cannons have been running and the new 6 seater chair lift has been going through its pre-operational trials.
The gondola will be open this coming weekend for walking, so I will check out what its like up top.
Temperatures seem ok from now to the 15th when the lifts officially open.
(season pass bought at the huge sum of about 410 quid )

Huge snow storm predicted to hit Borovets today, looks like it has already done so from the webcams.
Great conditions up top on Saturday, will be even better after another 30+ cms today

Sufficient coverage on the blue,red and green pistes. No board damage at all. No offpiste at all. A bit of a melt last night and today so the night sking was bullet proof with a little sugar on top.

Webcams are looking beautiful this morning, absolutely tons of snow! Really wish I was there.
Given the conditions, I'd easily pick a weekend in Borovets over a weekend in Val d'Isere right now (which I suppose is just as well!!)
